Hummingbird

I have this clear picture from 2 years plus ago of meeting Phyllis at birdwatching in the Morongo Preserve. I was a newbie to the Morongo Basin and even newer to watching birds (who knew); anyway, the group is moving out of the parking lot and toward one of these terrific raised walking paths. I even had binoculars that first time. This short burst of energy (that's you Phyllis) moves toward me and introduces herself. Suddenly, we're talking about Burma and meditation! She got very excited (I guess there aren't that many people going there). I said I was a traveller and sometime papermaker/bookmaker. Well, we both went into a swoon about that and I guess we've been soul sisters ever since! We talk, do some birds occasionally, but mostly really commune and do artful things together. What a wonderful friend you are, Fifi!
